well to shake up things a bit, here are my own findings:
the cpu/power argument the quality argument
the cpu argument says: the processing is done by an external "dedicated" device, so takes (some) away from the cpu of your computer, thereby freeing costly cpu power.
also because this is dedicated cpu power it's "more" evolved, which build on the second argument,
the quality argument: dedicated hardware is "more" professionel
still something inside of me says both have it's use, but cpu power is growing in the computers nowadays, the cpu/power argument could loose the argument in the future. that will leave the quality argument the last argument and because this is more a software/coding thing, i think this could change in the future, because native software/coding still evolves fast.
so do you think there are more arguments to think about using dsp or/and native.
