Hey, I'm new here and new to Mac Audio Recording. I just got a MOTU 828 and have it hooked up to my 700mhz ibook via firewire. I'm running into a problem when trying to install Audio Desk. When I select the "MOTU Firewire/AudioDesk Install" button and agree to the terms, I'm given the option of which disk, OSX or 9, to install upon. I've tried both several times, but to no avail. Each time I do a warning pops up that reads "Can Not Locate the Installer CD."
This seems like a really simple problem that I should be able to work out but I don't know what else to do. Any help??

which system are you trying to install from when this message occurs OS9 or OSX (not what system are you trying to install to but in)? are you installing from the original AudioDesk CD or from a file on the drive?

I just purchased a used copy of DP3, and I'm getting the exact same error message when I try to install it.

""Can not locate the installer CD!"'

Any ideas as to how to avoid this error?

Based on some similar experience I've had with another program, I would suggest you try copying the installer file on the CD onto your hard drive, then try to install from that file.
