hello-

hoping someone can help me out here... i am a digital performer user (version 3 still), and was previously running it successfully on my powerbook g3/500 with os 9.2...

anyways, that computer died, and i replaced it with a powerbook g4 titanium. i kept the hard drive from my failed machine and am booting off of that drive to try and run dp/3.

however, after booting off of this drive in os9, every time i try to run the program, my computer just hangs after displaying the introductory dp/3 graphic. if i disable oms, i can get the program to start, but i need oms to run with my current hardware.

is this a known problem? if not, is there anything else i can try to get it running on my new computer?

Why don't you just install a fresh DP3 in your new computer?
After that you can copy all projects from the old HD.

It sounds like OMS might be corrupted.

Try reinstalling it.

You will have to reinstall, DP is confused because the computer ID is different from the one it was installed on.

Just part of the authorization scheme.
