 Using Sound Soap As Stand Alone, How to open sound clips |

I got Sound Soap to clean up vocal clips [meditation/relaxation] which I had saved in Simple Sound. Sound.Soap works brilliantly on things it can open, but Simple Sound clips are greyed out. I was also unable to connect with iTunes. Any ideas??
