Hi guys I am a "amateur" keyboardsit and pianist, I have been playing for 10 years. I have used mac ALL my life ( not too long , just 18 years old ) ... and I would really like to sync my keyboard with my mac via midi.
U see , I have a midiman audiophile 24/96 in my 800 mhz Powermac g4 Tower. (running panther 10.3.2 , 640 RAM and 2x 40 GB HD)
My keyboard equiptment is a Korg Karma , a Roland AX-7 and some midi pedals like beringer fcb1010
I dont have any problems when recording audio... but now I want to buy a sequencer too, my budget is just 150 dollars...
Any suggestion on what to buy?

The MOTU Fastlane has operated flawlessly for me on a G5 running Panther. It is a 2 in 2 out midi interface.. runs somewhere around $70.

Early adoptors of the Midiex on mc are STILL waiting for drivers that will make it work properly.

In fact I avoid all Steinberg products.

I like the Emagic MT4 - that's my Midi I/O.

For a sequencer, look at Tracktion. Kind of a queer approach compared to other sequencers, but very usable - now distributed by Mackie, who bundle it with their new Spike Mbox-style USB audio interface.

If you were running in os9 then Pro Tools Free would be the best option, but seeing u are in panther, PTF is os9 only...

If you wanted a cheap solution, your best bet is to find something on the link that was suggested by Sonne -

Good luck! Oh, and make sure everything is set up correctly in CoreMidi setup in Apple's CoreAudio setup thing. It's pretty easy and self-explanatory.
