hi all,

I was wondering if anybody could help me. I have logic 4.7 on mac, the audio interface is Motu 2408 mkII and whenenver i add more to my arrangement I start getting error messages stating that the audio engine is not able to process the date required to run the program. I have ticked the necessary boxes on the audio preferences and drivers page, but I still get this problem. Is there anybody that can give me some advice on this matter?

Hi. I don't think the issue is your audio interface. I think you've exceeded the capacity of your computer's processor.

If I'm not mistaken, it has something to do with the dual processor.
Try the set up to use only single one. Your set up has enough juice.

Pauletta, contrary to the post above, I doubt it has to do with your dual processor.. I use a 2408MkII with a dual 1Gig MDD without that sort of issues. You really need to post more info about your system for people to give you much help. For instance, are you running OS9 or OSX? If OSX, then is your 2408 running on a PCI-324 or 424? If you have a 324, and your running OSX, that THAT would be the first thing to fix.. PCI-324's are extremely problematic under OSX.

Give us all your system details, and you'll get a lot more out of the forum.

Cheers.
