Okay, so lately I've been getting this error message in Reason when I load samples or add instruments. It says "operation could not be completed because file is locked." Then you click "okay" and it proceeds to complete said operation. I'm on a dual processor 867Mhz G4 tower. Anybody got an idea what to do about this? It's only a mild annoyance now, but could be quite problematic in a live setting. Thanks for any help.

If you try to modify a file that can't be (it's locked) it's quite normal…

Repair the authorizations on your hard drive if you're on OSX and

In OS9 or OSX just ask informations on the file to eventually unlock it.

now if it's something weirder in the authorizations in OSX, use Xray to see more on the rights of the file.
