hi all,
total newbie to macs (and forums, for that matter) - can't believe there are so many people with the same issues as me!!
here goes, probably simple, but please help if you can.
have new emac with OS 10.3 and us122.
had no joy with standard install, (everything showed up, but no audio/midi came out the device) so downloaded 10.3 driver (.sit file) but how do i install it with the new driver?
have re-installed the OS (sooo much easier than windows)
so its totally clean and ready to go but i don't want to try installing 122 again till i am sure it will use the new driver.
used to having to stuff around with soundcards to get them working, but cause i'm unfamiliar with macs it is a bit beyond me.
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!!!

First thing, after installing ANY software (even by drag and drop), repair authorizations with the Apple dick utility (in apps/Utilities).

trash the preferences if there are some (search tascam or us122, trash the relevant stuff: preferences, temp files… whatever, I can't be more precise I don't have one wink.gif

If your driver is a .sit, first double click on it, it's an archive (stuff it), so it'll be expanded… then it's a .dmg inside, open it open the installer, (the icon is of a .pkg for you to know)…

Once it's done, repair authorizations, restart

Check in system preferences/audio it's there, as in apps/utilities/audio MIDI setup cool.gif
