I note that with Pro Tools Free the RTAS plugs effect whatever's coming in through the audio in, while the VST 'real-time' plugs in Metro require that the audio be an already recorded file for it to be effected? How are these two forms designated and which other hosting sequencers do it really in real-time, as Pro Tools does?
