Hello. I am very new to recording on the computer. I have a g4 cube, a midi keyboard, and a motu usb-midi interface. I have the free version of protools. Does anyone know how I can record the sound from my keyboard and not just midi information? Do I need another piece of equipment? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Tim

you need an audio-to-usb or audio-to-firewire device to bring your audio into your cube.
USB: check the tascam us428 (audio & midi) - there are some more from roland/edirol and a few other companies.
Firewire: quite new but promising. Check the MotU828 (it's sort of a complete studio).

Kind regards
Walter

also check out the Maudio (www.midiman.com) 'audiosport quattro'. This is a usb solution that is less expensive than any of the above mentioned.
