I was hot onto the fusionsynth site as soon as I heard about it, read all the specs and the sales waffle and it all sounded quite impressive, then you come accross the screen. What are Alesis thinking? A high end workstation like this which will is likely to cost £1400+ for a 61 key version should come with something far better. All the other specs sound great and then instead of a nice colour touch screen or at least one of the two they slap on a low res crappy back lit job... so near and yet so far! I hear the march of opensynth....
I suggest you put the question to Alesis.
They should, better than anyone else, be able to explain their reasoning
behind such a move.

Alesis is proned for years to cut some corners in the building not exactly sensible. They can make really interesting synths (Andromeda, Ion) and if you look in some details (finish around the ribbon controller or the plastic ends of the andromeda for example) you wonder what the guys at marketing are smoking.
China manufacturing can't help either.
This said, if anyone has an Andromeda to give
I have asked them but they haven't replied
Wait a few days, they must be all at NAMM for a few days.
If they don't reply, insist (politely), and tell us
