Wondering where I can find old or used versions of Cubase like SX2, as I'm not sure if I'll encounter problems/limitations running SX3 on my Powerbook. I've checked ebay but did not find much. Is there a big difference in the way these two versions act/perform? I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars only to find myself lagging.
i'm looking for some information on recording vocals. i have a project studio set up at home and need some advice and info on how to get a good sound, ie: isolation, mixing, eqing, compression, etc... any help would be appreciated, books or magazines you've seen, websites, or your own experience. thanks.
does anyone know if either the motu828 or digidesign mbox can run under osX? i know the protools software is not supported under X, but could the hardware be recognized and then used with something like cubase sx, or similar with the motu.
i've been looking into getting an ibook 700mhz running osX. but am skeptical about recording, can anyone suggest some good audio interfaces. i 'll be running out of a mixer either 1/4' or spdif. but then i need an interface. should i look into usb or firewire. what about latency? the only options i've seen are the motu828 and the new digidesign mbox. anyone have any experience with these or experience with any other option. all help and comments would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
