I am trying to burn an mp3 cd of some music and an audio book that I bought from ITunes music store. However it is not allowing me to do that. I have DSP-Quattro audio editor, but it cannot read ITunes music files that are bought from the store. Any help would be greatly appreciated. smile.gif

itunes does conversion. Go under Preferences, Importing, pick wav or mp3 encoding... then go back to the track you want to convert. Then just go under Advanced and pick convert to _____ (whatever you chose). It will make a copy in that format.

ok wait, I jut checked - this doesn't work with purchased music. Hmm - you might have to just burn an audio cd, then reimport it.

The thing is, ITunes won't let me burn this audio book to cd. So I am trying to find a program that would be able to do it.

Yeah, a lot of people (including me) are having problems with that. The iTunes music store stuff is copy-protected to a degree, and I think part of that protection is not allowing you to burn mp3 CDs of purhcased items. There are ways to get around this, but they seem to be fairly convoluted. Check this site for more info:

Here's what to do: get a copy of Audio Hijack ($16) or Pro ($30 US):

Then you just hijack your iTunes output and save as whatever you want. Tons of effects (I just use the gain sometimes) and you can grab ANY sound:DVDs, games, whatEVah
