Like most on this site I've got quite a collection of songs in iTunes. The other day I was trying to convert a standard .M4a file from iTunes to either a .wav or .aiff (apple loop) so that I can pull some audio samples.
I thought I could do it with my Quicktime Pro but can't find any options in the Save As. Also, tried iTunes itself with no luck. Even tried Apple Loop Utility but it won't load the M4a file.
I use Logic Express 8 and Garageband and I would think that some how I should be able to do this.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

sad.gif Anyone seen this yet? I recently installed Logic Express 8 on my Intel-Mac and I'm trying to load an old GB3 song to remix and I'm not able to load any .band files. I'm using the Open command from the menu and the dialog box shows the Garageband folder but all the .band files in that folder are greyed out. I'm not sure what the problem is. Any ideas?

Sounds silly maybe but I started playing with Airy's AU303 toy and found it has some interesting sounds. I would like to understand it better but can't find any help info on it. I see the knob to change the pattern to the next one but can't figure out if how to set it up.
Does this also have a "Song" mode like iDrum where you can have it jump from pattern to pattern. Or, is that knob even addressable from my midi keyboard. Can't get that to happen either.
One other question: Can't seem to bring it up thru Garageband3. It works great through the Rax AU manager w/ iDrum and a synth even on the Mac-Intel so I know it's set up right - but can't find it in GB3. Any ideas?
