Hi!

I'm working on trying to master a music i made. And because i work at night and i don't want to wake my neighbor up, i'm using my headphone (sennheiser HD 650). The day after when i listen to the song with my monitors (M-Audio LX4), it's totaly different (bad).
WHICH ONE SHOULD I TRUST? Monotors or headphones?

Thanks.

Merlin.

Hi!

I'm getting into music creation for a while now, and i decided to go a step further and spend some money.
Till now, i was playing with reason, rewiring it to dp4 (with mach5). I have powerbook g4 1,25ghz, a m-audio firewire410, a midi synth, m-audio studiophile bx4 with subwoofer.
I'm thinking about getting a g5. In fact i'm gonna get it for sure.
So what i'm missing i guess, is a mixer and a controler.
I was thinking to get the yamaha 01x, but heard it has some compatibility problem with dp4.
1. But then, what should i do with my m-audio firewire410. Can i still make a use of it?
2a. Is the audio card better in the yamaha 01x?
2b. Is the yamaha01x or other controler controling the vst, audio unit…?
3. Are there different alternativ to the yamaha01x? Mackie…
4. what would you get?
5. what more am i missing in my "studio" to make it kind of complete?

Thank's a lot for your answer.

Hello!

I'm using DP4.1 with a powerbook G4 1,25Ghz (1Gb RAM), plugged to a M-Audio Firewire 410 with a casio CTK-671…
My question is:
How to set the buffer size and the studio configuration in order to have no latency and other "play problem" that happen to often. I thought i wouldn't have any problem of this kind with that kind of equipment, but i'm expierencing latency when midi recording, processor overrun when using machfive with Bosendorfer soundbank…
I just want to be able to create a project with maybe 8 stereo channel, 16 mono, and some machfive and other sampler…
I'm dreaming about a chart showing all the different setting related to the equipment (powerbook, powermac, g3, g4, 800Mhz, 1,25Ghz, 512 or 1024 RAM, usb or firewire audio card…) does it exist or is somebody able to tell me at least the "good" setting for my equipment?

Thank you.
