440 Forums _ Hard Drives _ External Hard Drive

I have an early G5 dual processor power mac and I am running DP4.6. I am looking to get an external hard drive( 1 terabyte) and am wondering if this will also help my DP program with more effects and faster processing.

If you're using another internal hard drive for audio and not the system HD, it won't change much as the SATA bus is faster than USB 2 or Firewire.
