I just read all the threads (and info elsewhere) and am convinced the best way to master a track is to have a pro do it. One source actually said mastering is 95% ears/experience 5% gear.
Fair enough... Can anyone recommend the best mastering studios, companies, engineers, etc. that can do this remotely? Since I'll be trusting my tracks to outsiders for this key step I might as well go with the best.. and I'm quite sure they are not in my neck of the woods! Thanks!

I have an MAudio Firewire Solo interface with my iMac and Logic Express, and recently I purchased a microphone for recording vocals, etc. Nothing too fancy, its called Whaferdale pro DM 2.0. I have plugged it into the Input 1 of the interface and armed a new Audio track in LE. Made sure the track is stereo, armed the track for recording and hit rec. The input isnt very loud, despite the knob being turned all the way up, but the main problem is that vocals are only recorded via the left chanel? I cant seem to be able to get both left and right recording despite the track being a stereo one.
What's going on? Thanks everyone, J

'Uncaught exception in main method:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: GetVersion' I get this message when tryin to run a recently installed dj mixing software. What does it mean and how do I get past it? And p.s., are we ever (or at least in this lifetime) going to see useful error messages? Something more like 'Your software can't run because you are missing this or that. Got to here and get it and then place it here and you should be fine' Wouldnt THAT be great |
