I have had an order for an M-Audio FW410, in at Sam Ash, for over a month now. I just got this note from Dylan Steffens of M-Audio's North American Sales;

"The Firewire 410 will be shipping sometime this summer, although we don't have a specific date at this point. It will probably be 1-2 months."

This is not happy news for me. I may cancel the order and go for something else and would like to create a list so here's my request:

What devices do you know of which include these two specific features I'm looking for:
1. TOS Link(Optical S/PDIF) and
2. MIDI(In & Out)?

What I'm doing is connecting my G3(Beige) to my Yamaha AW16G portable HD recorder. Additionally I'd like to do sequencing from the Mac. Other features are like frosting on a cake.

Thanks!

Hi All,

I have a Yamaha AW-16G(love it!), with TOS link ports, and a Mac G-3 Beige desktop with OS-9.1. I would like to know if there's a card I can obtain that allows communication with the Yamaha as well as MIDI communication. I have Cubasis VST 2.0 on the Mac.

Thanks,

Bill
