I like this strip. So very true. While technological tools are important, they must be guided, or like double-edged swords, will not be effective in the desired manner .
I find it sad too that so many new sounds are quickly called cliched in this age of fast-passing novelties. If anything, they should be adored and embraced (sonically) and further explored instead of passed off as a "gimmick". Even the TR-808 and TB-303 sounds of the world can be used in new ways, surely (that 808 cowbell for one makes an excellent pad when time-stretched out).
Keep it up William and thank you macmusic.org for hosting this strip.
Mew and Zach, once again, much better than it has to be... Love all the inside mac music content, course, none of my family nor associates could relate.... oh, well....... itz our little secret... makes me wish I could sketch goofy little characters.... with the exception of my tunes, yuc yuc..
Blezzings,
