I am very new to this forum. By the way of intro, I am more a computer person than a musician. I use computer music to do what I am not able to achieve on my instruments (guitars).
The question I have is with regard to positioning-synchronizing acoustic tracks with the software instruments. I recorded a few things I would like to use as loops. No matter what I do, I cannot set the loops beginnings properly. The recordings are done with metronome and so bpm is not my problem. My problem is manipulating the recorded track so that the first beat of everything happens at the same time. I got it down to less than a second but is is still playing a bit ahead. I did not find the answer in the manual. |

ummm not sure what you are asking exactly - try zooming in really close?
Also, there is relative grid mode I think - it will keep everything the same relation to the beat when you move it, or absolute mode, which snaps right to the grid. Zooming was not enough / even I hear the delay. |

Hi: I guess that you are experimenting a "latency" problem...Probably when you did your recording there was a lot of latency (which seems to be "normal" these days...) and then, when trying to sync, you hear everything out of tempo... If it´s so, you are going to have to make some adjustments...Active the "low latency" mode in preferences, or tray to adjust the size of the files, in order to make them all start at the same moment...which could be a tricky situation if you´re not an experienced editor... In the other hand, when you move your position indicator, it would reflect its position, down at the counter, the exact position in terms of time, beats and measures ... You could also record a metronome or a bit signal every quarter note, and them use this image as a edition reference.... I hope this could help you. If not, please forgive me.....I am not a logic guru or something like that...
