For less than half the price of an indigo or nord g2, from what I know about the Ion engine, this awesomely minimal and cool looking synth will compete with the indigo in the sound dept. and it has a mod matrix like the g2. I have personally been dreaming of something like this to show up and alesis out-did my dream. I am looking forward to being the very FIRST person to buy one! ...I'll probably ruin it with my drool.

The G2 is a lot more than a simple modulation matrix. Micron/ION are virtual analogue, G2 is virtual modular. Way more powerfull. You're comparing apples and oranges. Rivals of MIcron/ION are more the Nord lead family, the new Kurzweil VA etc.

I wish my ion had a step sequencer. Does anyone know if the micron will handle overflow voices when connected to the ion (as in making my ion a true 16 voice beast!). I imagine a software editor will be available as well- anyone know for sure?
