Hi,

I'm trying to test MOTU Unisyn as a patch editor for my hard synths but I cannot send/receive any MIDI message. I'm using and EDIROL UA-20 USB interface which works fine for all other software apps. like Cubase SX 3 or GarageBand.

Is it possible to use Unisyn with OS X 10.4.4 and EDIROL interfaces ?? Any idea or advice ??

Regards,
JoanBa

Have you tried to do a new MIDI setup in Audio MIDI setup? Does both the interface and the synths are ok there?

Also, have you repaired your permissions after installing Unisyn?

That is weird. I'm currently using a UM-2 to check out v1.0 of M1000X (finally!). It sees it just fine, and the software isn't doing anything different then it was when I was using a MOTU MIDI Express (currently in storage in my mom's basement). I have noticed that the Edirol driver seems to have issues with sleeping. Caveat: This is all under Panther (10.3.2); I haven't upgraded to Tiger yet.

Oh! From my experience of Edirol stuff (rather on the hate side btw) I remember they had the habit of asking the unit to be unplugged when installing the drivers. Have you done this or not?
