I'm still trying to get my setup right.

My problem for the day is with the monitoring. I have a really basic setup...guitar/mics/ drum machine in the audio INs of my mixer. Then I have my MidiverbII going into the AUX returns. Then I have my AUX sends going into the midiverb in. Then I have the Master Out of my mixer into my ASIO Echo Mia audio card. I've got a G4, Cubase 5.0.

I'm lost on how to get the Audio Out of my Mac back into my mixer without wild feedback or listening to the recording twice, as i record and listen to the playback of the parts i've recorded. am i making any sense here??

Any suggestions? Thx

am i wasting my time recording without one of these things?

i've invested so much money by now and time, i'm wondering if this is the final fronteer and i should really just get one.

how much of a difference will it make? is it like a big ...ahhhhhhh ?

my recordings have to sound really good now. before, i just used my computer more or less as a glorified 8track to flesh out my songwritng ideas. but i need more .

what do you all think? i have gtr center credit , or maybe i'll goto ebay if they are dramatically cheaper there...

and whats the difference b/w the 828 and the mkII?

I just got a edirol pcr-50 midi keyboard...and everything is hooked up, except i can't hear it in my monitor. it's appearing in the test runs as setup , and i can see it in the levels, but i'm not able to monitor my signal...neither in the mixer nor in cubase/reason.

i'm thinking i must have it going incorrectly from the mac to the mixer? or maybe my audio setups in cubase are messed up? i'm so confused.

i'm new to midi... all my analog audio signals are fine and still working. this is wierd.

anyone know whats going on??

heres my setup:

Edirol PCR-50
Mac G4 / OS 9.2
Cubase 5.0 VST
Reason 2.0
Behringer MX802A Mixer sad.gif
