Hey this is my first post on here so here goes...

I've been using logic express for over 2 years now and feel i have the hang of it quite well, I've now decided to invest in some new hardware to make a small home studio. The only problem is I dont know the best way to hook it all up? Can anyone help? This is what i have:

iBook G4 14" 1.33GHz
G3 tower (the blue and white one!) Not really sure the specs, I'm picking it up 2moro, i only bought it as it has 2 100Gb hard drives.
M-Audio Firewire solo interface
CME UF5 controller keyboard
Additional Dell 19" monitor (as well as ibook monitor)
Edirol monitors
Phonic 802 mixer
Logic Express 7

I have all the ibook, audio interface, controller keyboard, mixer, monitor and speakers hooked up fine, i was wondering what the best way to use the mixer with logic is? and also i wanted to use the G3 for storage, is there any way i can keep all my samples on there and run them off the hard drive then into the ibook? Probably a stupid question but yeh lol just wondered if any1 could help?

Booting the G3 tower in firewire target mode (hold down "T" whilst booting) will turn your hard drive(s) into FireWire devices that your iBook can access.

This will be perfect for sample playback.
