I downloaded ProTOOLS Free ( for Mac OS 9 ) and I just can't figure out how
you set it up to record. sad.gif

My other audio sequencers are so simple to set up so I'm just lost with the way ProTOOLS works

I've got the Mac version of the Delta Audiophile 2496 PCI card installed in my PowerMac 9600
( upgraded with XLR8 G3 card ).

I have a Yamaha PSR 2000 keyboard.

I've connected my keyboard by midi in/out with the audiophile 2496 PCI card.

I've connected the anaolog audio in/out from that keyboard to the audiophile 2496 PCI card.

I can't figure out how to make a recording when I play the keyboard.

I also can't find a OMS profile for that keyboard and can't do a OMS Studio setup.

Also can't send anolog audio in or out of that Audiophile card.

Help and comments please.

I'm thinking of purchasing the VSC-MP1, a VST synth plug, to run in
Cubase 5.1

Anyone here using it ?

Is it worth the $$$ ?

Any other comments or suggestions ?

I just had a Yamaha CD-R installed in my 8500/G3. This is my very first CD-R. Archieving my HardDrive etc has proven to me that a CD-R is worth every penny. Ok so doing that is easy.

My audio recordings are done either on a Roland VS-1680expanded, my computer, or a Yamaha 4tracker or some combination of all. The recordings done on the Roland VS are then played into one of my computer based midi/audio sequencers where it's recorded and some additional mastering done. Then the finished project is bounced. So I've got the bounced audio tracks in my computer for several recording projects. Now what do I do ?

I am trying to burn a CD with music tracks that would be playable in any home type of CD player. Don't have a clue how to do that because what I've tried so far is not working.

Incidently I am using Toast Deluxe 4.1.2

Please help.
