I am the newest of the newbies, not only to this forum but to Mac's and recording.

I just placed my order for a G4 powerbook and LaCie 120 hard drive. And would like to get some ideas around what type external audio interface I should start saving towards.

You need to answer a bunch of questions first, such as (but not limited to): will you need MIDI capabilities? how many inputs will you need? how many tracks will you be recording simultaneously? and of course, how much are you willing to spend? Spend some time exploring the "Getting Started" and "Audio, MIDI, DSP cards and intefaces" sections of the forum and you will find plenty of opinions.
