A friend of mine picked up a U-matic 3/4-inch machine and we are wondering if there is a way to store digital audio for mastering cd's onto a u-matic cassette without using a PCM adapter like the Sony PCM-1630 as a transport. Is there a way do go directly from my Mac G5, or from my digi002 into the U-matic (any necessary software?). Do I need to convert my aif or wav files somehow into NTSC, could I use final cut pro for that? Yeah, lot's of questions for anyone who might know about this stuff. Thanks.
