does anyone out ther have any idea why this might be happening:

i have an emagic audiowerk 8 card in a 450mhz G4 connected to a pair of m-audio speakers. everytime i put my computer to sleep and wake it up, the sampling rate is always off and i have to go into Audio/MIDI setup to switch it. the really weird thing is that the pitch of the audio is always lower, but when i go into Audio/MIDI setup the sample rate is right where i left it. i then have to switch from 44khz to 48 khz or from 48khz to 44khz depending on what it was at to start with. and the pitch always goes from too low to just right, regardless of whether i switch from 44 to 48 or vice versa.

weird. anyone have any ideas?
