I have been on Windows too long for sure... got used to Sonar just being able to define an external midi (through M-Aduio Fasttrack pro) and have a midi track make my sound module and keyboard play for me...
Now, I am on Mac... great great great... BUT... i am not able to identify an easy way to get both the simple routing defined and a good interface for midi editing (piano roll style)...
I have tried a lot of things around... the ones that you can find in demo or loaded with the Mac... most of them don't support routing to physical midi out... the others have limited piano roll (or none that you can call piano roll)...

I want to progress and need both... the piano roll for editing he mistakes and making rounds and rounds of test of recording without having to replay... as well as the midi out to physical instrument for the multiple synthesizers and modules i use...

please let me know what direction i should follow... maybe something like a VST routing to physical... any idea is welcome...
