hi everyone- i would like to use a drum pattern in ultrabeat to trigger a synth track. i only want the synth track to create sound at the same time as the drum pattern. how should i go about this? what effects do i need to put on what tracks? are there multiple ways to achieve the same effect? thanks in advance to all the producers out there...
hey there everyone- posted this also over in a logic forum, so i apologize, probably more fitting here. anywheys- looking for advice on what i can do to my deck- a G4 1GHZ powerbook, to turn it into a dedicated dj machine. i will probably be using ms pinky and some dj program, along with turntables, in addition to the hercules dj controller and maybe a midi/firewire capable mixer. might get rid of hercules, idk yet. i would like to know how i can run my computer with the lightest load- i.e.- what programs don't i need, or better yet, what is the minimal basic mac frameworks that i do need. i want it to be super stripped down, a dedicated djing outfit. no internet, no music production software, no superfluous languages, no graphics programs i don't need, etc. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. look forward to hearing yur thoughs!
hey everybody- i'm looking for advice on setting up my mac for laptop djing. right now i have a 12" powerbook G4 1GHZ that i would like to use for laptop djing, probably with ms pinky. i would like to know how minimal i can get it. i only have a 40 gig hd in it, so space is limited. i would like to know what is essential to run just a dj program. what files can i get rid of, what programs don't i need, etc. i'm talking barebones stripped, focused solely on djing, no intertubes, no logic, no garageband, i can store my tracks on a thumb drive if need be, but i don't use them so i don't know how much space they really have. thanks for the info, especially from any hardcore geeks/wizards out there. peace!
has anyone done any work using ds lite as a controller for midi? i know there are a few programs out there such as dsmidiwifi etc; i'm just wondering if anyone has tried them out/ what issues come across/what you need to make it work... i just got one and i would like to use its touch capabilites and wifi to make soem craziness happen- maybe on ableton or traktor or dj1800? thanks and peace....
