Hi,

I'm completely new to music on the mac. I have a midi casio keyboard and we are considering
purchasing Music Ace Deluxe from Harmonic
vision for our kids, 8 and 7 years old.

Are there any better suggestions for Mac Music theory than this, or do you recommend this software?

Thank you!
Mike

I've had very good results with my students using Practica Musica. see above. they may need a bit of guidance, at their ages, but it's a powerful tool. certainly worth consideration.

Can I also suggest Compose World

by ESP software. I've met the author of this software at several educational technology shows and I've always been impressed by his views on educational philosophy. They have a variety of very reasonably priced packages which dovetail into 'grown up' software apps as well.

I'd encourage you to take a look.

Good luck,

Karina Townsend.
