Hi-
Problem: I try to get some audio samples (aiff) into audiodesk, for editing etc. But I don't even get them to play, or be inserted in the sequence.. angry.gif
More details: When importing, some info in the dialog box appears red ('16bit', even though the project's settings should support that. 'mp3' is red as well if I investigate on that too, as expected)
Should I (have) convert(ed) to something else (what then? how should I know?)

Excuses for such a basic question, it does seem rather simple to me too! I'm not new on recording audio, but new on the program, trying it out too maybe purchase DP5. Anything else in the program looks pretty familiar so far.

Context: I got AudioDesk with my MOTU Traveler. I'm much more accustomed with video-editing like Final Cut Pro (which has pretty extensive audio tools aswell), but want to get more into the more music-dedicated software like DP, Live etc). I basically want to try AudioDesk out, making a mashup from samples (from a song), bounced garageband-sketches (beats and some other midi lines) and recording some instruments aswell. All in a fun dance mix, for a friend's wedding (better be taught by making up a project.. wink.gif ) . But 'till now I freeze at the start, failing to import external audiofiles. Reading the manual hasn't helped much yet..!
