my new studio is all carpet. is that a problem? there's not any wood...i can't take the carpets up!

also, any tips would help ...vocal booths in closets...foam padding...?

this is a good place for informatiom on studio construction and sound treatment.
recording.org forum

carpeting isn't a problem. if your recording acoustic guitar or percusion and want some floor reflections you can always keep a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood around and place on the floor when needed.
