I'm still using Logic 4.8.1 on my nearly three year old computer, and I am wanting to buy a new computer as well as a new version of Logic.
I was wondering if the project files for 4.8 are compatible with the newer versions of Logic. I understand that there is a VST to AU converter but am mostly concerned with the song files, as I have hundreds. Any information on the subject is appreciated. I think you will be alright, I started with Logic5, there is an option for saving in 4.8, makes me think the format may be a little different. Think the automation is different in the newer versions. FXpansion's VST to AU converter works fine, but most plugs come in AU format now. -------------------- G-Dub

Sounds like it could be backwards compatible. Thanks for the info.
