440 Forums _ Samplers _ Akai Mpc 2000 + Scsi Cd

hi all,

my house mate is in the middle of setting up his audio equipment, and i noticed that he had an external SCSI cdr... the cable matches the output on the akai mpc 2000 but when we hook it up (and make sure that it is terminated/id'd correctly) the sampler says that the cd is not ready. does any one have any ideas why?

It may be a model of CDR not compatible with the MPC.
