Hi Folks,

I hope you can help. I am having immense difficulty getting anything in the way of sound from a Yamaha PSR-275 into my Mac (running OS X 10.2.8).

I would like to use the Yamaha Kb to learn music with eMedia Piano & Keynoard Method. I have a MidiMate which is plumbed up correctly. As far as I'm aware, Audio Midi Setup is configured correctly (MidiMate is displayed in the window).

When the eMedia software plays music, the MidiMate appears to indicate reception of data from the Mac, however when playing from the Yamaha, no activity is noted from the MidiMate (ie. no light flickers on/off, whcih would indicate activity from the Kb).

Could the problem be that the MidiMate is not compatible with the Yamah Kb, and if so would using the Yamaha UX16 MIDI connector solve the problem? Contact with AudioTrak (maker of MidiMate) was not helpful.

Any help you could give would be most appreciated.
