I own an Opcode Studio 4 MIDI interface. It worked perfectly with my PPC 7100. I recently purchased a G4 400 AGP and added a Stealth Port to incorporate my interface.
I installed the Stealth MIDI driver and the interface seems to work properly, pardon one thing. It takes MIDI clock from every input, and routes it to every output, always, unconditionally. This is a real hassle as all of my hardware is beat clock dependent and the output clock signal is the sum of all the beat clock inputs from four devices. I end up with a BPM typically around 1000 or so.
This problem exists in OSX with the apple drivers, and under OS9 running OMS. The problem persists even when the computer is off, so apparently the problem is contained within the interface.
I don't want to spring for a new interface because this one worked (and should still work) just fine. Any help?

I recently purchased a G4 400 to replace my 7100. I have an Opcode Studio 4 MIDI interface and some outboard gear connected to it. The interface is connected through a GeeThree Stealth Serial Port. I'd like to use OSX for my music production. The problem: Audio MIDI Setup will not recognise the Studio 4 as having more than one port. When I boot up in OS9.2 OMS recognises it just like it should. In OSX when I try to run any OMS app Classic starts up then the app promptly freezes. Questions: 1. Is it possible for AMS to co-operate with my MIDI interface? 2. Is it possible for OMS to run under OSX? 3. Do I need to stick with OS9?
any help?
