Hi All !!

Im using GarageBand on MBP 2.2 OS X10.5Nicky
to write, indie-pop, rock & country songs - but starting to find the drum loops originally provided with the program a bit limiting - as ive found my core favourites - which are hard to deviate from. But I realise I need some variation in the drums so Im looking for advice on drum loops.

Can anyone recommend compatible software with GarageBand, (drag and drop drum loops)

Also, a friend is suggesting I go buy the logic studio 8 which has all jam packs including Rhythm Jam Pack, - but im hesitating not only cos' i havent the dosh right now, i just dont think i'll make best use of it. Garage Band is great for recording easily - and im imagining logic is fidderly - and like the name suggests - more suited to pro's - whereas demo quality good enough for me.

Really appreciate any advice on this

Nicky

Hi Everyone!
I was thinking about a USB mic to use with my G4 ibook (1.2) (OSX10.3.9).
When I made enquiries with a computer music retailer, all they wanted to talk about was an UA25 interface and condenser XLR mic. I only want to record vocals and guitar, decent enough quality for a demo to
give to pubs&clubs etc.

Any thoughts on this dark winters morn?

Hello there macmusic people hope you had good weekend smile.gif

I was considering puchasing logic pro to use on my ibook G4 (1.2) (786 ram) OX10.3.9. I'll be recording vocals, guitar as well as using apple loops etc. - prob wont use more than 8 vocal tracks, 8 midi.

Assistant at mac shop said i would have to upgrade to an intel mac, cos' my ibook wouldnt hack it
with current system specs.

What do you say. Im not going to be spending any more money on ram, so basically, do i wait to upgrade (which isnt happening for at least 2 years), keep plodding along with garageband, or use logic pro/express?.

be interested to hear what you think

thanks

Can anyone recommend some garageband 2.0 compatible drum loops (rock, pop, country, jazz & hip hop) that wont break the bank?

Many thanks

Nicola
