Hi all,
I'm only new to Logic and its many wonderful instruments but I'm really puzzled by the multichannel version of the EXS24. The manual talks about setting up aux tracks and then these will automatically be subtracted from the stereo mix. But this doesn't seem to occur. I select the mc version from I/O and then when I assign the other outputs in aux tracks (EXS 3, EXS 4, etc) nothing comes out of them. I'm really confused. The Logic manual doesn't help and neither does the EXS24 manual. They don't explain what happens (or I'm just incredibly stupid!) What I want to do is have the multi channel version for drums so I can mix the various pieces of kit separately from the track mixer.

Thanks,

Hi. I am just about to take the plubge and buy a G5 DP1.8 but the thing that is really bugging me is display choice. Is it true that you can in fact use any display (with the right type of connectors obviously)? Or do you need a monitor that is apple compatible? Theoretically I realise that I can use any monitor but I can't afford to buy a monitor that won't work with the G5. I was looking in particular at the LG L1710S. Any suggestions to other monitors would also be helpful.
Thanks

I am about to purchase a G5 Dual 1.8 (my first Mac) and an 828mkII and up until recently I was going to use CubaseSX2. After reading some rather bad reports on Cubase for G5 and Panther I've decided to think about other software. I was thinking maybe DP4 as it is dedicated to the Mac and seems to be a great application. I considered Logic but I've heard it takes complicated ways around easy functions (plus the price is a bit too high). Has anyone had much experience running DP4 on a G5 with Panther and the 828mkII? Any comments are welcome.
Thanks.
Kai
