I've been using a 707 drum machine and I tried to link it up via midi clock to lock the tempo in. The reason being is that I only have a 2 input Firewire system and I want to record and single out the tracks by themselves, like bass drum, snare, etc... When I clocked it, the beat still came off as not in sync. I tried doing this without sync'ing by recording each track seperate but it seems that the drum machine doesn't actually record precise when I try to line the tracks up.

Does anyone know if older drum machines get "off" of being on track? Is it possible I'm doing something wrong with the midi clocking?

Any help would be cool, I'm still learning how to utilize midi with Logic as well as working with this new old drum machine.

I just got a BCF2000 and I haven't figured out how to use it with Logic yet. I hooked it up and was able to establish a knob making the volume go up and down, but I haven't figured out how to do anything else.

I read the manual and went through the process, I understand MIDI commands but not how to assign them to the controller to make it communicate with Logic.

Anyone know anything about this stuff?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I'm brand-new to using midi and I got a M-Audio Midisport 2x2. I have it hooked up to a Juno 106 or a Korg Microkorg and the Midisport is getting a signal, I can see the notes I play on the synth in the Environment setting of Logic so i know Logic is getting the Midi message but I can't hear any of the notes being played.

I set the channel on my track to 1 and I set the channel on the 106 to 1 but I'm getting nothing.

Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong or what hasn't been set up correctly??

Thanks a bunch
