Hello out there...
I'm running DP3 with a TC POWERCORE CARD on a "silver back" dual 800 G4 using OS 9.2. I'm thinking of gettin the Mackie/UAD1 card. Is anyone running both cards? Are there any compatibility problems with such a setup? Everythin is running just fine now. Am I asking for trouble? Thanks in advance for the help.

I am using them both with logic with no problem. I can't see why there would be an issue with Performer.

format......
are you using the uad with audio instruments? I talked to emagic yesterday and they said there's no prob with using the card with audio instrument just don't use it on busses. However, I read on the uad forum about a lot of people having probs with the card that used macs and logic. As you can tell I'm thinking about buying the card myself but I'm a little nervous.

The UAD-1 card works fine as an insert on an audio instrument track. The latency is twice your buffer size. e.g. With my RME card I have a buffer size of either 64 (1.5ms) or 128 (3ms) so my latency when using the UAD as an insert on an instrument is 3ms or 6ms.
You can also use it on an input object e.g. Insert "Nigel" on an input and plug a guitar in!
I find a latency of 3-12ms is fine on an instrument for playing live.
