Hi.

I am the "machine / keyboard guy" in rock band. I need this kind of software:

I like to build our live set to couple of tracks. (One for background stuff and one for click for drummer) Then i would like to add several loops between songs (when software reaches loop, it will loop that part as long as i deactivate the loop). I want that i specify those loops before live sets starts (because i do not want to spend whole gig by my computer). I also want to program tempo changes to live set. I also want to control everything from my midi device (f.e. deavtivating loops etc.)

Do you know this kind of program?

I use cubase SX to make those backgrounds and i have tested Ableton live v1.5 but it is not the program i am lookin for.

Thanks in advance, weg.

p.s. The band i play is amplifire (www.amplifire.com)

Hi.

Have somebody used cubase sx with emagic emi 6|2m or emi 2|6 usb audiointerface? If you have, what kind of opinions do you have about emi usb-interface.

I am probably buying that interface for my powerbook but does it work ok with cubase SX?

I Have previously made music with pc so I can be little stupid in mac world. Does the cubase SX still need ASIO drivers or will it use Core audio driver? I noticed that 6|2m has only core audio drivers for OS X.

Well... Thanks a lot in advance and sorry about my bad english.

Hi.

I am newbie in mac world but I have made music with pc for some time.

I am wondering if following laptop is suitable for my use:

Powerbook G4 677 mhz 15" display
Hard disk 40Gb
Memory 512 mb

Software I will use is Cubse with lot of VST insrtruments & effects. (I will use lot of vst samplers with large sample sets.)

I also need USB or firewire audio interface (2 analog in & out, 1 digital in/out, midi in /out) Can you prefer some suitable audio interfaces?

Thanks in advance and best regards, Weggio
