Hi

I use Logic Studio 8 and Iwant to play it MIDI files with Roland XV-5080. I have done the setup in my Mac Midi device setup, I open Logic, choose channel and Roland XV-5080 as the device for the channel. Problem is - I don´t see the patch names for the Roland V-5080 I can´t choose (change) the sounds from logic, I can´t access all the banks of XV-5080 from the Logic.
Any Help !?

You know, I switched from Cakewalk Sonar to Logic a little over 2 years ago, and I still haven't figured this out. I'd really like to know the answer to how to do this sort of thing in Logic. It was easy and common in the PC-based DAW's I used to use.

Hi !

Thanks to one other forum, I finally figured it out and its not hard at all. You must make a new MULTI INSTRUMENT in Logic, put all the Sysex settings according to manual of your isntrument and hten just type in the instrument names. Thats it. A little work, but once you have done it - its done :-)
