I'm looking for software (pref. OSX) that will take either an MP3 file or sound input from a microphone and create sheet music from it.
Anyone know of something like this? |

You will only be able to do this for monophonic parts, not polyphonic ones.
Have a look at melodyne. http://www.celemony.com/ or Emagic Logic (I think only Gold and Platinum) has an Audio to Score feature built in to its Sample editor. or "Pitch To Midi" by PolyFractus (this is a VST plugin for OS 9) http://www.macmusic.org/softs/share.php/lang/EN/id/8/ |
