Hobbyist is the best description. My band is 'Mobius'. I just want to produce half(?) decent music.

Folks,

Well, I had LogicPro7.1 running solid on 10.3.9 - I just upgraded to Tiger - 10.4.1 and LogicPro won't even launch. It gets to the 'Checking memory buffers' part and just stops - the fans ramp up to max and that's it.
I've re-installed LogicPro several times - but still nothing.
I've upgraded the Delta1010LT drivers also and then re-installed LogicPro - still zilch.

Anyone got any ideas? Yes - besides going back to 10.3.9?

Everything else works - FCP, Soundtrack, LiveType etc. So what happened to Logic???

Help!

Greetings,

I just took delivery of my new G5 - waaahhoo! So the burning question is - which soundcard do I buy?

I'm thinking about a surround sound card both for audio use and for video work - the two on my list so far are:

M-Audio 1010LT
Terratec Phase 28

Does anyone have advice on the quality and reliability for either card?

Or - if I use the G5's optical output - what do I plumb that into?

I know a lot of people have bad things to say about M-Audio - but I ran with an Audiophile 2496 in my G4 and it did just fine (maybe not quite as good as my Audiomedia III but fine for me).

Any thoughts or advice - greatly received.

Thanks - PT
