Any ideas on how i can install my audiodesk software. i bought an 828 second-hand and cannot install because i didn't receive the manual with serial number. so the cd software is about useless. MOTU support says "Tough luck" and refuses to help since i don't have the registration info.
cheers, y'all |

Have you contacted the seller on this issue? He should have given it to you!
Now, MOTU should know which audiodesk licence goes with which 828. The 828 is sold with the software, they must provide you a way to use the dedicated software that is supposedly bundled with. The 828 is the dongle, not the licence. Whatever, stay calm and polite, post on this issue on as many forums as you can, including unicornation. And point the links to MOTU there's no such thing as bad advertisement. You have a genuine 828, you must be able to use audiodesk. They are just loosing a customer for DP one day maybe. -------------------- Our Classifeds • Nos petites annonces • Terms Of Service / Conditions d'Utilisation • Forum Rules / Règles des Forums • MacMusic.Org & SETI@Home

the seller is not helpful.
MOTU customer service says "too bad" because i cannot register the 828 (because i didn't receive the manual from the seller). i will not choose or recommend MOTU products if this is not resolved. it's like buying a used car and not being allowed to get a duplicate key. MOTU already made their $$. i just want to be able to use the 828 and autodesk. exasperating! |

you problem appears to be with the seller not MOTU. IF they sold you a USED UNIT then return it, if they did not include everything as should have been in a new unit, then you got a used unit. If you got a used unit, you agreed to the terms of that particular sale. If it was meant to be a new unit, and they didn't include it all and are further refusing to discuss and resolve this with you
You sir need to seek legal assistance. Not bitch about it. |

further thing to note - if the seller is refusing to cooperate and isn't giving you a manul/serial
it's likely you bought a stolen unit. My recomendation stands, seek legal assistance. This is not MOTU's fault. |
