Hey,
I get it that it might not help, but would it hurt to have the daw/seq app on the backup drive, as well? Not as a primary r/w, but when you have your ext. hd with you, and not your twr/laptop, you could upload just that more smoothly at a shared vj booth/ audition, what have you? jjess wanderin' |

I use DP-4.12 on my lowly iMac -G4-800MHz with panther 10.3.2 and Motu 828 Mk-I & MTP AV-Usb with good results, no problems at all.
16 Stero/mono audio tracks + 8 midi tracks and couple of reverbs and other plugins. My iMac handles all with aplomb. Cheers: Dixiechicken -------------------- ==================
