hey guys. im new to this computer music scene. not new to the music scene though. i just purchased reason 2.5. doesnt seem like the greatest starter program. im lost. the manuel does me no good. are there any really good resources on this software to get me going.
im also looking for a new machine. i currently have an old imac with a g3. will i be cool with one of those new imacs if i eventually want to run other programs along with reason?

Reason is a great starter program (I love it)

you say the "manual is no good" or does you no good, there are also a bunch of PDF files included that go into Great detail on the program, there is also a CD you can buy that is basically a training class, it helped me and the PDF files have a TON of detail the hard manual does not have

um the CD is called "Producing music with Reason" I belive. Peff is the guy who actually made it. M-audio distrubits it I belive. if you gp to peff.com or Maudio.com they'll have it. I have the CD it's ok but all it does it teaches you how to create a really chessy house tune and a little bit of working with the Synths and samplers
