Hey dudes heres a reply from M Audio re:
Audiophile 2496
& also re: the G5 upgrade program.

Hello Trevor,

The drivers should be ready very shortly. I of course have no definitive date as the developers can change the specs or come across problems. As for the upgrade program, not completely sure how long this will last, it depends on the nature of the market and industry, but probably about 6 months or so. Beyond that I would just keep checking our site for updates regarding this.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

M-Audio posted new drivers for the Mobile Pre USB device over the weekend. They work great. Thanks, M-Audio!

I don't find a driver update for midisport 2x2 for Panther -- I assume I just have to wait, unless someone knows more than me. Does anyone have a preferred midi interface to the 2x2 for simple synth OS updates and patch dumps?

Thanks,
Daniel

Those bozos don't have up any drivers (or any beta drivers) for Oxygen 8! WTF???? That is probably one of their biggest selling midi controllers.

I called support today and they basically said "Sorry. No timetable. We have alot of products." Those saucy tarts deserve to eat their MIDI.

Answer "you should have _enough_ developpers then"

Note that it may be one of the concequences to buy entry level products, I'm not saying their product are bad but you can't expect an exceptional level of support.

I'm sure they sell more for PCs abyway sad.gif so it's not a priority for them.

I'm not! laugh.gif

But it can be arranged easily wink.gif

Now, it's great these products are here, but they HAVE some traps, drivers and support are some of those.

And here whitout decent drivers from M-audio… nothing will do…

M-Audio consistently talk a good product, but promptly fail to get the damn things to work properly in real life. I fear their reputation may be in terminal freefall. I was in a music shop yesterday looking at Midi interfaces and the looks on the faces of the staff when M-Audio's name came up told quite a story.
