so midi is okay and OMS working perfectly

I got a problem with logic audio
when I record a midi track with a certain sound , and I try to record anotherone I cant use a diferent sound
I can but the track that I previously recorded changes its sound to the new one that I try to record
Example
I record a piano line
and then I try to record a string base,
my piano is transformed into strings

Each sound must have a different midi channel number set for it and match the tracks' midi nubers in Logic.
You will need a book ,The Fast Guide to Emagic Logic by Stephen Bennett (PC publishing) is good.
Good luck
James

That will be the instrument number. Then you must read the Logic manual to set the Track channel number so they match.
